This unique English studies program gives you the skills to communicate effectively in the IT industry by equipping you with the language of the trade through hands-on application. The MEIT program gives you the advanced English know-how required to talk the talk of professionals in the field of IT through instruction in basic HTML and industry-standard design applications such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver.

From the moment you arrive, our experienced instructors work several hours a day to get your language skills up to the level you need to start your information technology classes. Depending on the results of your initial placement test, you will join classes with students at the same English level. Our excellent native-speaking instructors use the latest methods and EF’s own tailor-made curriculum to ensure that you will advance as rapidly as possible. Once your language level is high enough, you will progress to your specialized IT classes.

A unique IT curriculum

EF has developed a unique curriculum that uses your new English skills to explore different areas of the IT industry. You’ll spend time in class studying the development of the Internet and the world of multimedia, learning the basics of HTML and mastering professional web design software such as Dreamweaver or FrontPage. Throughout the program, special guest speakers will give you an overview of the latest industry trends and tips for building a successful career in the IT field.

An internship to enhance your knowledge

Your multimedia internship is an invaluable addition to your international resume. EF’s Internship Coordinator carefully matches your interests and experiences to a local business. Putting your specialized English skills to work, you will learn real-world terminology and gain valuable experience. Past placements have included design firms, technology companies and Internet start-ups such as: INSO Corporation, AlphaMega Computer Consultants and DCH Technology. There’s always something happening at EF When class is finished for the day, we make sure there is a full schedule of activities available, giving you the chance to relax and to explore your host city. From parties to game nights and outings to nearby cultural and historic sites, our full-time Activities Coordinator is always available with a full program to keep you active after class and on the weekends.

10 lekcji poświęconych wyłącznie branży IT. Nauka podstaw HTML i programów słuzacych do tworzenia stron internetowych takich jak Dreamweaver lub FrontPage. Przygotowanie do odbycia praktyk zawodowych i/lub międzynarodowych egzaminów językowych.
